My name is Dani Cinnamon, I’m 18 and from Perth, Western Australia. I did Aardvark from January 2023 – May 2023.
I always knew I wanted to take a gap year as I wasn’t ready to go straight into university! For months I was struggling to find a program that was right for me and then I found Masa Year of Service. Masa allowed me to give back to Israeli society and really make a difference in people’s lives whilst also experiencing the incredible programming of Aardvark. For the first two months, I volunteered at Sheeba Hospital where I worked in the ER. For the remainder of my time, I worked at a Kindergarten in Bat Yam. Both of these roles were life-changing experiences that I would not give up for the world.
I am currently leading as a counselor on a summer camp in America with Aardvarks’ Plus Program.
Aardvark Israel has changed my life by providing me with lifelong friendships, independence, unforgettable memories, and exciting opportunities I would not have had anywhere else.
