Gap year in israel - aardvarkisrael

It was a busy first week of our Spring semester!

After everyone arrived on Monday, the rest of the week was dedicated to getting to know the new apartments, neighborhood, and staff. We also dedicated time to setting goals for the upcoming semster and talking about what we learned last semster (such as budgeting).

On Tuesday, students had introduction sessions on Internships, Safety and Security, and Our Community. It was great to meet everyone face-to-face in small groups, and we enjoyed starting this semeter by sharing our mutual expectations and goals as a community.

During the rest of the week, students chose from a large variety of Chugim (workshops) such as art, sports, baking, wellbeing and intellectual discussions. We also went on a tour around the neighborhood so everyone will know their way around.

One of our activites this week was “How To Make An Apartment Into A Home.” Together with their Madrich/a, while cookies were baking in the oven, each apartment discussed ways to turn their new Florentin apartment into a home.
