Our Semester Has Begun - See What’s Happening!
Welcome to Israel!
On Tuesday, the big moment arrived: our new participants landed in Israel.
At Ben Gurion Airport, our team was there to welcome them with water, something sweet, and plenty of smiles – helping everyone start the semester feeling relaxed, safe, and excited.
Getting to Know Israel Like a Local
From the very beginning, we started getting to know Israel the way we believe it should be experienced – through hands-on, meaningful experiences.
Food tours at the Levinsky Market in Florentin, Tel Aviv, and Mahane Yehuda Market in Jerusalem were our first introduction to the cities, the people, and the flavors.
“The food tour was amazing! I loved seeing the neighborhood and the people in the cafés. But the falafel – wow! I love falafel, and I’ve had it at home (Rio de Janeiro), but Israeli falafel is a whole different experience.” Maya, Eitan Community
Our First Tiyul
“This trip was a new experience for me. I loved getting to know people in nature, without distractions, and with good vibes!” – Shaili – Reim Community
Community Shabbat
We ended the week with a shared community Shabbat – decorating Shabbat candles, baking challah, making chocolate treats, and welcoming Shabbat together as one large, international community.
“Our shared Shabbat was truly special. The moments that stand out the most for me were the Friday night dinner and the Havdalah at the end – there’s something about the rhythm, the warmth, and the sense of community that makes this experience so unique.” – Tamir, Madrich – Reim Community
What’s Coming Up This Week?
We’re already settling into our rhythm:
Classes and professional development days, the start of internships, and shared community activities.
Our weekly trip will take us to Jaffa and Neve Tzedek, where thousands of years of history meet modern Tel Aviv – an ancient port, vibrant culture, and the local atmosphere.
We can already see our participants transforming from strangers into friends – partners in a semester of growth, learning, and plenty of fun.
With a start like this, there’s no doubt: this is going to be a meaningful semester.
