This week with the Eitan community was filled with discovery, culture, and meaningful connections. We began on Sunday with Aviv and Eden sharing their presentations as part of the morning community time, setting the stage for an exciting week.
On Monday, the students explored Florentine’s vibrant graffiti scene as part of the “Face of Israel” program. This tour revealed how local artists use street art to express political and social messages, offering a fresh perspective on Israel’s cultural landscape.
Tuesday’s tiyul took us to Caesarea and Zichron Yaakov. At Caesarea National Park, the students marveled at King Herod’s ancient architectural wonders, connecting with Israel’s rich history. In Zichron Yaakov, one of the first Jewish settlements, they learned about the First Aliyah and the resilience of early pioneers.
Torah Tuesday with Rabbi Ariel Konstantyn tackled the origins of Anti-Semitism, sparking important discussions and equipping students with tools to address this issue in meaningful ways.
The week concluded on Thursday with a heartfelt farewell to the Mechina (Israeli pre army program). Together, the students visited the Anu Museum, where interactive activities encouraged deep conversations about Jewish identity. The day ended with a reflective sikum, marking the close of this enriching collaboration.
As the group prepares for Shabbat, they carry forward the knowledge and experiences gained from this week, strengthening their connection to Israel’s history and culture.
