I chose to do a gap year because I wanted to see and understand other ways of living, expanding my knowledge while making me comfortable when going out of my comfort zone. I chose Aardvark Isreal because it looked like the program that suited me most out of the Masa ones. It has enough free time to give me space to travel the city, and enough classes that I can learn from. The internship is a big plus, as I can do something that I love and I wouldn’t be able to do in Uruguay. I’m doing my internship at Israel21C, a non-profit organisation that seeks to broaden the public understanding of Israel.
