gap year in israel

Check out our social media to see what our students have been up to this past week!

My name is Eitan Brown and I’m from London, England and I studied at JFS before coming on Aardvark Israel. The reason why I chose to go on a gap year was because I wanted to come to Israel and try live here as it is such a different life to London, whilst also wanting to be able to be extremely independent and make my own life choices whilst also having a protection in case I made a mistake was something I felt was very important to learn prior to university. The reason why I chose Aardvark Israel over other gap year programs was because it had been recommended to me by a friend who is currently on the program as well, and also my school mentioned it to us, and after hearing what it had to offer, I felt like it ticked a lot of boxes as to what I wanted to achieve most whilst on my gap year, as well Aardvark was one of the few programs that offered me the chance to live in both Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. For my internship, I work at M.B.Z, which is a social media and Marketing public relations firm located in Jerusalem. It’s a lot of fun and hard work but I’m gaining a lot from it.

Fun fact: I can speak two languages fluently and am about to start learning Italian.
