gap year in israel

Check out our social media to see what our students have been up to this past week!

My name is Esther Michaela Nahmany. I am French and English but I was born and raised in Geneva, Switzerland. I went to school at Ecole Moser.

I decided to go on a gap year because I didn’t want to go to university at 17 years old, having finished school two years earlier than the standard in Switzerland. I wanted to come to Israel to experience Israeli culture and make new Jewish friends. I chose Aardvark Israel because it gives me a lot of freedom and teaches me how to look after myself independently, while still being in a safe environment. I also chose Aardvark because of the tech track they offer, which has weekly visits to different start-ups as well as the coding boot camp.

Fun fact: I love music. I’ve played classical violin for 12 years but also taught myself guitar (and singing) and played in a school rock band.
