I chose to go on a gap year because I wanted a break from school in order to learn about myself and others, experience new things, and explore Israel. Especially with the ending of High School and being in the midst of covid, I felt the need to take time off in order to recharge. I chose Aardvark Israel because it had the perfect balance of freedom and amazing opportunities, such as the classes offered, weekly trips around Israel, and internships. This semester I am interning with Sulha, an organization that works to build a bridge of peace between Israelis and Palestinians.
