When I first thought about taking a gap year, it was mainly because of the fear I had that college would be altered by Covid, so I wouldn’t get your normal “freshman experience”. What ultimately led me to take a gap year was coming to the realization that this was going to be one of the only opportunities I would have in my life to take a year off from reality and do things such as explore the world. I chose Aardvark Israel because I knew it would provide me with the opportunity to immerse myself into Israeli culture, as well as pursue my passions, such as when I’m at my internship. I’m interning for ‘The Sulha’, a media company focused on facilitating dialogue about the Israel-Palestine conflict without any bias.
