gap year in israel

Check out our social media to see what our students have been up to this past week!

In high school, most of the time when I wasn’t in class, I was either doing extracurriculars or studying – by the time I graduated, I felt burnt out. Knowing that I will have a similar experience in college, I wanted to take a break and be exposed to other cultures. I also wanted to use this unique transition period to develop a connection to Israel- despite my father being Israeli, I don’t know how to speak Hebrew, and had been to Israel only once before my gap year. I chose Aardvark Israel because of the balance between the classes, internships, and time to explore on tiyulim and on our own. It seemed like a great mix of structure and free time.
