SUMMER | 2 MONTHS IN ISRAEL
Plus: Kibbutz Harduf
Enhance your Israel experience by participating in a summer volunteering program within the multicultural Galilee community. Engage in volunteering activities alongside Bedouin children and youth in the region, provide assistance to the special needs community on the kibbutz, and work on a communal farm.
Volunteer at Kibbutz Harduf
In addition to immersing themselves in the enriching core components of Aardvark Israel programs, participants of our “Plus” Programs will embark on an extraordinary summer journey at Kibbutz Harduf. Here, they will engage in volunteering alongside Israeli adults with special needs and at-risk youth, work on agricultural fields nearby the Kibbutz, connect with the Bedouin children of the Galilee, and contribute to the ecological planning and construction of the “Sha’ar La’Adam” forest.
During their time at the kibbutz, participants will connect with Israelis their own age (“Shinshinim”) and develop lifelong friendships. Through their involvement, volunteers will gain the tools to become impactful social leaders within their respective home communities.
- Teach English in elementary schools in the Bedouin Villages
- Work at Beit Elisha – A rehabilitative community for adults with special needs; working in the organic agricultural fields;
- Assist at-risk youth at the Tuvia Boarding School
- Live with Israeli Shinshinim and experience Kibbutz life
* Spots are limited, and on a first come, first served basis.
TEN, Our Partner
The Aardvark Israel Plus Programs are run in partnership with TEN, an international development program that operates volunteer centers in developing areas. TEN brings together young Jewish adults from all over the world, to a program that combines volunteer work with local communities & service-learning in the fields of international development, culture, identity, & Jewish activism. Together with their volunteers from around the world, a core of Shinshinim (Israeli participants before their army service) live & participate in all areas of the program’s life: volunteering, traveling & studying. This is a unique opportunity for MASA participants to live with Israelis their own age, to work with them shoulder to shoulder & to get to know Israel through their eyes as well.
